Artist Statement


Over the last decade Craig Le Blanc’s artistic practice has evolved from the association of art and sport to the study of masculinity, virility and the male archetype. Le Blanc investigates these relationships in the context of games, sport, merit and heroism. He utilizes objects native to sports culture to communicate on the masculine identities and social ideals associated with sport, vigour, and individual achievement.
